At Manchester Communication Academy (MCA) they believe passionately in the power of an excellent education to transform lives and provide new opportunities for students. In PE they aim to provide exciting and challenging experiences for their students which is highlighted in their PE intent which encourages students to improve as a whole athlete physically, emotionally and mentally. The PE team offers many opportunities both in curriculum and outside the classroom for students to develop in PE.

Some of the exciting projects they offer are PE Ambassadors which is catered for gifted and talented students to further enhance their knowledge and understanding of sport. The PE Sports Leaders which gives students the chance to lead lessons and extra curricular sessions as well as assist the PE team. Mora gymnasium is a coeducational school situated in Mora in the region of Dalarna, Sweden. The school opened in the late 1950s and has had student athletes since the beginning of the 1980s. Our athletes compete on local, regional, national and international level. Our aim is for every student to reach his/her full potential both academically and as an athlete.

All student athletes are welcome no matter which sport as long as the student is part of a sports club. Mora gymnasium specialize on ice-hockey, floorball, cross-country skiing, ski orienteering, biathlon and soccer but students can also practice an individual sport. Every sports program has PE-teachers as well as coaches that have competed on the highest national level.

Mora gymnasium has boarding facilities and our facilities for the different sports programs are very well equipped. Three days a week the timetable is blocked for every student athlete to participate in training sessions. We work closely between school and sport to make sure that all students have the support they need to excel as student athletes.
